Elementary General Education Teacher Montgomery Public Schools Montgomery, AL Assignment:

August 11, 2026

May 27, 2027 (full school year)

Schedule:

37.5 hours per week

Onsite Openings:

7-10 positions Position Summary Serve as an elementary general education teacher (K-6), creating a supportive, engaging classroom that fosters student learning and personal growth. The teacher builds strong relationships with students and families, delivers effective instruction, and integrates technology to prepare students for success. Essential Duties

Create a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
Establish effective rapport with students.
Motivate students to develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to build a strong educational foundation.
Utilize technology to motivate students and prepare them for the 21st century.
Establish positive relationships with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal. Certification & Qualifications
Elementary General Education Certification (K-6), current and in good standing with the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE).
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
