MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Completion of an AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test OR Associate's (or higher) degree OR Two (2) years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of study at an institute of higher learning Two (2) years of experience working with youth or children with disabilities Computer skills, to include the ability to use email Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE FBI
fingerprint background check Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization CPR and First Aid Certification
- Certification must be maintained current during course of employment Physical Examination with a 50lb.
Lift Test to be done by one of the clinics with which the District contracts and sign a Medical History form Must hold a current Arizona Driver's license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Driver's License as described under

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Must complete Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Training within 6 months of hire Must complete Open Hands Open Access intervener training modules provided by the AZ Deafblind Project within 6 months of hire
- Certification must be maintained current during course of employment.
(Initial fee will be paid by the Exceptional Education Department all renewal cost will be the responsibility of the employee)

Work Calendar:
9.5 month Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
