Job Goal:
Responsible for coordination, structure and process of activities pertaining to Drivers Education, which falls under Health and Physical Education Programs.
Job Qualifications:
Certified Driver Education Teacher Minimum three years of related work experience. Must have a valid Drivers License Knowledge of Delaware's rules and regulations for Drivers Education under Title 14. Strong work ethic and clear focus on attention to detail and accuracy Commitment to on-going continuous improvement through professional development.
Essential Functions:
Reports to Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education. Assists in scheduling Driver Education professional development and in-service meetings. Serves as liaison between the Driver Education team and administration. Provides coordination of Driver Education activities in the District. Assists in providing continuity in the District's Drivers Education Program. Provides input into improving the District's Driver Education Program. Serves as a resource to the District Office, School Administrators and team members in the District Coordinates quarterly PLC meetings with teachers throughout the year. Monitors gas cards and mileage of Driver Education vehicles and coordinates with Fleet Services for vehicular maintenance and upgrades Responsible for answering Drivers Education questions raised by students and parent Serves as a representative of team members at meetings with the Delaware Department of Education
