JARC JARC
is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through education, training, and support services. We are seeking a Full-Time Vocational Instructor to join our team and help our clients build meaningful skills. If you enjoy hands-on teaching, making a real impact, and working in a supportive environment, this could be a great fit!
What You'll Do :
Teach practical job skills in areas like computer lab, cooking, mailroom, and environmental services. Help clients develop appropriate workplace habits and behaviors. Participate in all required staff meetings, training and development. Track progress and maintain accurate documentation. Work closely with staff, clients, and families to support individual goals. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in education, Human Services, or a related field (or equivalent related experience). Ability to use Microsoft Office. Strong communication and interpersonal skills including ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Director, public groups, and families. Good people skills - you're patient, clear, and encouraging Ability to complete background screening and drug testing requirements. Valid Florida Driver's License and ability to drive a van.
