Job Description

Lead Teacher for VPK Monday to
Friday Qualifications :
Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency for the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) Program. Ability to relate positively with young children. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
Responsibilities:
Is responsible to assist with the overall supervision and daily class functions of a class. Help to assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis. Implements the pre-designed lesson plans and classroom schedule.
After/Upon Employment:
Must meet local, state requirements. First Aid training (or willing to attend after hire). Fingerprinting and background check required for hire. As a Lead VPK Teacher must have one of the following: A Child Development Associate Degree (CDA), Staff Credential, Associate or Bachelor Degree or higher in Early Education, or a Bachelor's Degree out of field with at least two classes or 6 credits in Early Education. If uncertain, we will help evaluate qualifications together.
