Adjunct Faculty, Elementary Education Position Status Adjunct Tenure Non-Tenured Rank Lecturer Budget Summary Base Pay $821.00 per credit hour Position Summary Information Job Description Summary Adjunct Instructor, College of Education and Social Sciences, Department of Education, needed to teach courses in the areas of Elementary Education specifically in English Language Arts, Science, Math, and/or Social Studies. Some positions may require field observations of students during the daytime. Personal transportation is required. Responsibilities Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education. Responsible to model, teach and promote the unit standards for the Department of Education as a critical transformative educator, a multicultural educator and a social justice advocate.
  • To teach one or more classes in the Department of Education at any one of the Lewis university sites and/or online
  • Availability to hold office hours and meet with other faculty members and department chairs or directors when necessary Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Terminal degree preferred, master's degree considered. Illinois Professional Educator's License
  • Elementary Grade Levels.
Previous teaching experience in specific subject matter or credential in the area of subject matter applied for. Experienced in using technologies such as Learning Management Systems (Blackboard).
