Dual Credit eligible or a willingness to become dual credit eligible.
Position Goal/Purpose:
Wheaton North High School is seeking a dynamic, energetic CTE Endorsed teacher who maintains a positive learning environment, holds high academic expectations, and creates a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents and staff.
Reports to:
Building Administrator/Principal Role/Responsibilities:
Provide rigorous and relevant instruction on hands-on curriculum in the content area and general workplace readiness. Integrate soft-skill instruction into competency-based content area activities. Support students in industry-relevant competitions, industry exploration activities, professional organizations, and postsecondary initiatives. Show evidence of project-based learning (e.g., competitions, capstone events, etc.) Collaborate with core content teachers on common course planning, integration, and alignment. Maintain and update industry certifications as required by Illinois State Board of Education.
