Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a real difference in the lives of young learners as an Infant Montessori Teacher supporting children ages 0-3 in a nurturing, child-centered classroom. This contract position offers the opportunity to foster each child's independence, curiosity, and love of learning through authentic Montessori practices near Wheeling, IL. You'll provide responsive care and meaningful learning experiences for infants and toddlers in a thoughtfully prepared environment, working alongside a team that values your expertise and commitment to early childhood education.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Montessori Infant/Toddler Credential from a MACTE-accredited program (AMS, AMI, or recognized equivalent) Meets all Illinois DCFS staff qualification requirements High school diploma or GED Solid understanding of human growth and development in early childhood Experience with Montessori teaching methods, materials, and the prepared environment Ability to observe, assess, and support children's individual developmental needs Skill in individualized lesson planning and classroom leadership Dedication to fostering a supportive, equitable, and culturally responsive learning space
