CTE Welding Teacher

Job Description:
Perform demonstrations in class of all WPS Individualized instruction to a variety of students at different levels Teach the basics of measuring to the 1/16" Teach the basics of different fabrication techniques Teach students to diagnose basic machine repairs Implement a variety of interactive classroom instructional techniques to engage students Participate in professional development for continuous individual and program improvement Perform all standardized assessments, documentation, and student follow-up as required Attend Professional Development meetings once a month Assume other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of AWS standards Knowledge of AWS Certified/Qualified welding process(GMAW, SMAW, GTAW) Working knowledge of cutting tools(Plasma, Shear, Grinders, Saws) Ability to follow a WPS Understanding of weld symbols and their applications Ability to supervise destructive weld testing Successful teaching experience in welding Possess intermediate technology skills sufficient to assist students and complete daily/weekly entry requirements Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills Must have a growth mindset and enjoy an environment that adapts to the needs of the students and program Must have a valid Indiana teaching license and be highly qualified.
