To Be Determined Job Description The Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School District is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Middle School Health Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will promote student wellness and healthy decision-making by providing engaging, developmentally appropriate health education instruction in a supportive middle school environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices, effective classroom management, and the ability to build positive relationships with middle school students. Candidates should be committed to supporting students' physical, social, emotional, and mental well-being while fostering a safe and inclusive classroom culture. Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging health education instruction aligned with Massachusetts Health Curriculum Frameworks
  • Teach topics including personal wellness, nutrition, mental and emotional health, substance abuse prevention, healthy relationships, decision-making, and personal safety
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and discussion
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and educational technology to support student learning and engagement
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and families
  • Collaborate with colleagues, counselors, nurses, and administrators to support student well-being
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
  • Serve as a positive role model and promote healthy lifestyle choices among students
