Job Description

This posting is a continuous recruitment to create an applicant pool for Continuing Education Instructors with Mayland Community College (MCC). Openings may or may not exist at this time. This position may teach on the Mitchell County Campus (Spruce Pine, NC), Avery Learning Center Campus (Newland, NC), Yancey Learning Center Campus (Burnsville, NC), or other locations supported by the College. The class(es) may be scheduled during regular operating hours, at night, or on weekends. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis when hiring managers have a position that needs to be filled in Continuing Education areas. Continuous postings will remain open for a period of 24 months. After this period, applications will become inactive. Prepare and deliver course content, maintain grade and attendance records (as required), recognize and respond appropriately to student needs, utilize clear learning goals and well-planned activities. The Continuing Education Division provides classes for training in occupational, as well as creative learning areas. Qualifications will vary depending on specific course needs. Please list degree, certification, and/or experience for the area you are interested in providing instruction.
