JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
We are seeking knowledgeable, engaging, and compassionate instructors to deliver educational information through our Aging, Changing and Engaging as a Family program that help families and caregivers navigate, plan, and maintain a higher quality of life while caring for family members and themselves. If you have professional expertise, teaching experience, or a passion for helping others navigate life's opportunities and challenges, we invite you to join our instructor team. We are looking for instructors who can teach one or more of the following subject areas. Healthy Aging, Caregiving & Daily Living Help learners develop practical skills for managing everyday life and caregiving responsibilities, including: Mastering essential self-care and caregiving in today's world. Finding community resources and support services. Organizing daily responsibilities and care plans. Managing dietary restrictions while maintaining a budget. Navigating transportation options with accessibility and safety in mind. Understanding mobility aids, evaluations, and transportation alternatives. Coordinating care teams and managing appointments using hybrid calendars and digital tools. Healthy Living, Wellness & Personal Resilience Teach participants how to build healthier lifestyles and maintain physical, mental, and emotional well-being by covering topics such as: Recognizing signs of cognitive and physical decline. Meal planning and healthy nutrition. Exercise and movement for lifelong wellness. Restorative sleep habits. Building emotional resilience and support networks. Identifying when home and personal safety modifications are needed. Staying socially connected through relationships and routines. Financial, Legal & Benefits Planning Guide learners through essential financial and legal planning with practical, easy-to-understand instruction, including: Organizing important legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives. Preventing fraud, scams, and identity theft. Managing personal finances, bill payments, and tax preparation. Exploring long-term care financing and planning options. Understanding Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid benefits. Navigating public benefit systems with confidence. Required Qualifications Professional experience or subject-matter expertise in their teaching area. Previous teaching, training, facilitation, or public speaking experience preferred. Strong communication and presentation skills. A passion for lifelong learning and community education. The ability to create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment. Experience working with adult learners, caregivers, older adults, or community organizations is highly valued.
