As a Driver Education Instructor, you will play a vital role in helping new drivers gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become safe, responsible motorists. Our instructors provide both classroom and behind-the-wheel training using the AAA Driver Education curriculum while delivering personalized instruction that prepares students for their written permit and DMV road tests. Because we serve a diverse community, we strive to build a team of instructors who can meet the varying needs and preferences of our students, ensuring every learner feels comfortable and supported throughout their training. Responsibilities Conduct classroom driver education using the AAA Driver Education curriculum. Provide one-on-one behind-the-wheel driving instruction. Schedule lessons with students based on mutual availability. Teach defensive driving techniques, traffic laws, and safe driving habits. Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback. Prepare students for both the written permit exam and DMV driving test. Accompany students to the DMV road test when needed. Maintain accurate lesson records and student progress documentation. Ensure all instruction is conducted safely, professionally, and in compliance with state regulations. Represent the organization with professionalism and excellent customer service. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, dependable, and passionate about teaching. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Comfortable working with students from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Driver education experience is preferred but not required. Training may be provided for qualified candidates.
Compensation & Schedule Pay:
$17-$20 per hour

Flexible; instructors coordinate availability directly with students. Part-time opportunities with the potential for additional hours as enrollment grows.
