Program Instructor - Adult Day Program & Vocational Services On-siteVocationalFull time Lakewood, New Jersey, United States Description The Arc of Ocean County is seeking compassionate and motivated Program Instructors to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities participating in structured adult day and vocational programs throughout Ocean County. This position focuses on promoting independence, daily engagement, community participation, and skill development within a supportive and team-oriented environment. Full-time and part-time opportunities are currently available at our Lakewood program location. Position Details

Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate:
Starting at $20.20 per hour
Additional Compensation:
Overtime opportunities available Paid bi-weekly Essential Responsibilities Provide direct support and supervision to individuals participating in adult day and vocational programming. Assist with structured program activities focused on life skills, vocational development, communication, and community engagement. Support individuals with activities of daily living, including hygiene assistance, personal care, and medication support when needed. Encourage independence, participation, and positive social interaction throughout program activities. Assist with transportation to community outings, appointments, and program-related activities using agency vehicles. Complete required electronic documentation, daily notes, and program records accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all individuals served. Work collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers, and interdisciplinary teams to support program goals and individual outcomes. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is welcomed but not required. Paid training is provided for all new hires. Requirements Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or GED required. Valid New Jersey driver's license required, with no more than five (5) points. Must be comfortable operating a 10-12 passenger vehicle. Minimum of one (1) year of longevity with a previous employer preferred. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while supporting individuals with varying needs.
