Job Description

Unleash your creativity as an educator with an exciting contract opportunity for an Art Teacher or Teachers Assistant. This in-person role involves traveling between several school sites in the scenic area near Horseheads, NY. Youll ignite students imaginations and foster artistic expression while working across multiple districts. If you have a current New York teaching certification and a passion for inspiring future artists, this position is an excellent fit.
Key Qualifications:
Active New York State Teaching Certificate (Art or General Education accepted) Comfort and enthusiasm for teaching art to students (specific grade level assignment TBD) Willingness to travel between school sites (Hornell, Greenwood, Bath) Strong communication and classroom management skills Adaptability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams Previous classroom or instructional assistant experience preferred, but open to all certified teachers Commitment to creating engaging, inclusive lessons
Responsibilities:
Facilitate hands-on art instruction and inspiration for students Travel to assigned schools as scheduled (travel is local and manageable within the region) Collaborate with other educators and administration Foster a positive, safe, and creative classroom environment Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to support students' needs Monitor and assess student progress
