Job Description

Enrichment Teacher Part Time, Seasonal Position About the GO Project The GO Project helps New York City public school students thrive in the earliest stages of their education through year-round academic, social-emotional, and family support. GO Project is based in NYC and all positions for GO Summer 2026 are in-person. Locations are in lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. Position Description The GO Project seeks engaging enrichment teachers for our five-week summer program. The enrichment classes offered to GO Project students in the summer provide an opportunity for students to interact with each other and explore their own talents. Specifically, we are looking for individuals with experience teaching with an enrichment focus in the following areas: STEM (Robotics, Technology, Science Exploration, etc.)
VISUAL & PERFORMING ART
(Theater, Dance, Drama, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Crafts, Cooking, etc.)
MOVEMENT
(Sports, Martial Arts, Gym, Yoga, etc.) Responsibilities include: Lead classes of 15-18 students in either grades K-4 (elementary school) or grades 5-7 (middle school) Develop a 5-week programmatic experience for youth through which they develop skills in the enrichment area and have an opportunity to demonstrate their learning (portfolio, showcase, etc.) Implement enrichment activities that are youth-centered, project-based, and reflective of different learning styles Lead a warm, inviting, and focused classroom environment that welcomes all students in a safe and caring space Deliverables must be high-quality and submitted on or before all deadlines.
Deliverables include:
A lesson scope and a culminating event plan. Must be available to participate in training, campus huddles, and meetings, as well as for all program days Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age and able to work in the United States At least 2 years of successful experience working with groups of children in grades K-4 or 5-7 within a teaching, teaching artist, or facilitator capacity At least 2 years of strong classroom management experience with a class size of at least 15 Strong communication skills Must be flexible and willing to make adjustments to lessons based on a fast-paced school environment Additional Requirements All staff must pass a background check and provide a medical clearance form signed by a medical professional prior to training. Program Training and Instruction Dates The Enrichment Teacher schedule during GO Summer runs on Monday through Friday from 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm and is in person. Select Enrichment Teachers will be asked if they are available to extend their schedule until 6pm to provide end of day coverage as needed.

July 1 and 2 from 9am to 4pm with additional remote dates throughout June to be announced.

July 6 through August 7
Compensation :
Salary range for this position is $33 per hour for 17.5 hours per week over 5 weeks. (Up to $3350) How to
