Due to increasing demand and newly secured DOE contracts, we're expanding our team to support program delivery across NYC schools. This is a unique opportunity to combine education, performance and hands-on food experiences—with the expectation to grow into a leadership role with the expectation of running sessions independently. This program is part of a Food & Nutritional Education initiative funded through the DOE that focuses on teaching students how food choices impact health—using chocolate as a unique and engaging entry point. What You'll Do Assist in delivering interactive classroom presentations (Grades K-8) Eventually lead the full curriculum Engage students through storytelling, science, and hands-on chocolate experiences Support operations at DOE sponsored workshops and events Help manage classroom setup, materials and tasting portions Represent the program professionally to teachers and administrators Chocolate tastings (milk, dark, white) with the understanding dark chocolate is a healthy alternative STEM-based learning (science, geography, history) Interactive, multi-sensory student engagement Chocolate tempering (making) classes that re-enforce STEM, cultural, geographical and historical aspects of cacao Ideal Candidate Teaching experience (preferred: NYCDOE or classroom background) Comfortable speaking in front of groups (20-50 students) Energetic, engaging, and personable Interest in food, chocolate or experiential education Reliable, organized and able to manage time independently Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain) Growth Opportunity This is not just a support role. The goal is to train you to take over program delivery and grow with us while allowing you to: Lead your own DOE sessions Earn consistent income from ongoing contracts Become a key part of a growing educational program Combine education + performance + food experience Hands-on, interactive—not a traditional classroom job Clear path to ownership of program delivery Opportunity to be part of scaling a unique DOE-approved curriculumJob Type:
