Job Description Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with grade-level curriculum, standards, and district expectations to promote student learning and achievement.

Plan and implement differentiated instruction that addresses the academic, social-emotional, and developmental needs of all learners.

Implement evidence-based literacy practices aligned with the Science of Reading, including explicit and systematic instruction in foundational reading skills.

Collaborate with the grade-level team and support staff to analyze student data, identify areas of need, plan responsive instruction, and monitor student progress.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes student participation, independence, belonging, and a love of learning.

Communicate regularly and effectively with families regarding student progress, classroom learning, and ways to support student success.

Establish and maintain developmentally appropriate classroom routines, expectations, and behavior supports Essential Skills and/or

Experience:

Experience in elementary settings.

Training and/or experience implementing the Science of Reading and evidence-based literacy practices

Job Qualifications Requirements:
  • NYS Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) required OR
  • NYS Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2) required
  • NYS Literacy Certification (Birth-Grade 6), preferred Effective approximately from November 18, 2026, to March 1, 2027
