Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid state teaching certification for General Education or specialty area Experience teaching STEM and/or Family & Consumer Sciences strongly preferred Ability to design and implement engaging curriculum for middle or high school students Strong classroom management and communication skills Enthusiasm for integrating technology, project-based learning, and practical life skills into lessons Collaborative mindset for working with school staff and participating in school-wide initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver curriculum in FACS and STEM according to state and district standards Create stimulating lesson plans that encourage students' curiosity and participation Guide students through hands-on projects, labs, and inquiry-based learning activities Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback Foster an inclusive, supportive, and productive classroom environment Integrate innovative instructional strategies and digital resources Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and faculty about student performance Support extracurricular STEM or FACS initiatives (clubs, fairs, or community events) as needed You will be at the forefront of preparing students with essential life and scientific skills through an engaging, creative, and rigorous teaching environment.
