The Delaware Community Center YMCA is looking for a passionate Cooking Instructor to lead fun, hands-on cooking classes for both kids and adults. In this role, you will: Plan and prepare engaging, age-appropriate cooking lessons and recipes within an assigned program budgetManage class supplies, ingredients, and equipment purchases while staying within budget guidelinesTeach weekly classes for children (basic kitchen skills, nutrition, and fun recipes) and adults (home cooking techniques, meal prep, and specialty topics)Set up the kitchen classroom, execute each class safely and smoothly, and clean up afterwardCreate a welcoming, supportive environment where participants of all ages build confidence in the kitchenPromote healthy eating, food safety, and the joy of cooking Ideal candidates are engaging, organized, and creative with food. Previous teaching or cooking class experience is a plus, but a passion for food, people, and smart resource management is essential.
