Job Description

Electrical Test Technician
  • ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE
  • Nesco Resource is hiring an experienced Electrical Test Technician to support the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of power conversion equipment prior to shipment.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong electrical troubleshooting skills, the ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams, and hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment. Key Responsibilities Perform product evaluations against NEC and UL/CSA standards Conduct testing and troubleshooting on power conversion equipment prior to shipment Follow detailed test procedures using measuring instruments and computer-based test programs Document test results accurately and completely Read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and test procedures Install, diagnose, service, and repair electrical equipment Configure and connect system equipment including switchgear, SCCT cabinets, and power ties Inspect equipment during operation to identify overheating, vibration, fluid leaks, loose components, or other issues Replace defective components and complete repairs as needed Work closely with Test and Manufacturing Engineers on test equipment development and work instruction updates Collect and report testing data related to strength, durability, and maintainability Qualifications AA degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, trade school or 2 years of relatable experience Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints Experience using electrical testing equipment including: Hypot testers Multimeters Wave and power analyzers Oscilloscopes Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Shifts/Salary 1st
