Agriculture Education Long Term Substitute Teacher, Grades 9-12 Anticipated Vacancy

BHASD is currently seeking an energetic and dynamic Agriculture Education Long Term Substitute for High School Grades 9-12, who will facilitate student learning for academic and life-skills and develop the attitudes that contribute to the fulfillment of their potential as mature, able and responsible citizens. The Agriculture Teacher delivers engaging, standards-based instruction in agriculture, food systems, environmental science, and natural resources. This role fosters a hands-on learning environment where students develop practical skills, leadership abilities, problem-solving techniques, and an understanding of agricultural career opportunities. The teacher connects classroom learning to real-world applications through experiential activities, agricultural projects, and school-based learning experiences. Responsibilities may also include advising and supporting student leadership programs, such as FFA, and helping students explore pathways in agriculture and related industries. Courses include: Intro to
Agriculture, Small Veterinary Science, Large Veterinary Science, Horticulture and Food Science Qualifications:
PA Agriculture K-12 (1200) Certification preferred.
Schedule:
Full time position beginning August 28 through October 9, 2026 following School Board approval and completion of pre-employment requirements.
