Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Inspire the next generation as a 7th Grade Science Teacher for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract opportunity offers you the chance to work with students in a supportive environment and play a vital role in shaping young minds. You'll teach engaging science lessons to middle school learners, help them discover the wonders of the world, and foster academic growth in a collaborative setting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid teaching certification in General Education or Science (middle school/secondary level preferred) Background in teaching or student teaching, especially science curriculum for grades 6-8 Strong classroom management skills and effective communication abilities Enthusiasm for hands-on science instruction and a commitment to student development Ability to adapt lesson plans to diverse learning styles Familiarity with state and national science standards is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver dynamic science lessons to 7th grade students, covering topics such as biology, earth science, chemistry, and physics Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, projects, and assessments Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success Integrate technology and real-world applications into the curriculum Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and team planning meetings This position offers a 40-hour work week and focuses on in-person instruction (no virtual teaching at this time).
