Job Description
Instructor of Education Lander University Lander University's College of Education invites applications for an Instructor of Education. We seek a collaborative, student centered educator committed to high quality teacher preparation and service to the university and profession. The successful candidate will contribute to our growing CAEP-accredited educator preparation programs and help prepare future teachers to meet the needs of diverse learners. Primary Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Education, such as: Child Development, Global Issues in Education, Adolescent Development, and General Pedagogy. Supervise teacher candidates in field experiences. Provide academic advising to undergraduate and/or graduate students. Participate in program development, assessment, and continuous improvement activities. Contribute to departmental, college, and university committees and initiatives. Collaborate with area schools, community partners, and professional organizations. Required Qualifications Masters degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Teaching and Learning or other education related fields. Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in a P-12 classroom. Commitment to teaching excellence and working with diverse student populations. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate (Ph.D., Ed.
D.) in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or other education related field. Experience teaching at the university level. Experience with supervision of teacher candidates. Experience teaching in the middle/high school environment. Familiarity with CAEP standards and accreditation.
