Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification or licensure in General Education or Science (or eligibility to obtain) Demonstrated experience teaching general education and science content, especially at the middle school level Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment Commitment to adapting curriculum to meet a diverse range of learning needs and abilities Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and fellow staff members Enthusiasm for inspiring curiosity and scientific inquiry among adolescents
Responsibilities:
Design and implement engaging science lessons aligned with curriculum standards for 7th grade Create a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment that encourages student participation Assess student progress regularly and adapt instructional strategies as needed for individual growth Maintain accurate records, including attendance, assignments, and grades Participate in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and school initiatives This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position for the entire school year.
