Microsoft Excel Continuing Education Instructor UTA-EEC Continuing Education Department Arlington, TX Job Details Contract $25 - $35 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Power BI Curriculum design Classroom experience Lesson planning Pivot tables Productivity software Classroom Teaching Adult education Excel data analysis Spreadsheet formulas Full Job Description Experienced Microsoft Excel Instructor Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Excel Instructor to teach continuing education courses for adult learners. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills, professional experience using Excel in business environments, and a passion for helping students develop practical spreadsheet and data analysis skills. The instructor will deliver engaging, hands-on training ranging from Excel fundamentals to advanced topics, preparing students to use Excel confidently in the workplace.
Responsibilities:
Plan and teach Microsoft Excel courses for adult learners. Develop lesson plans, exercises, and course materials. Excel fundamentals and navigation Formulas and functions Data management and organization Charts and data visualization PivotTables and PivotCharts Lookup functions (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH) Conditional formatting Data validation Advanced formulas and reporting Basic automation and macros (preferred) Evaluate student progress and provide feedback. Maintain attendance and course records. Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment. Stay current with Excel updates and best practices. Qualifications Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel . Professional experience using Excel in business, finance, accounting, operations, analytics, or a related field. Previous teaching, training, coaching, or instructional experience. Strong presentation and communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to learners with varying skill levels.
Preferred:
Experience teaching adult learners in continuing education, workforce development, or corporate training settings. Experience with advanced Excel functions, dashboards, and reporting. Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI , Microsoft Access , or Microsoft Power Query . Industry certifications related to Microsoft Office or training.
Schedule:
Evening and/or weekend classes available. Flexible scheduling based on course offerings.
