Job Description

Environmental Educator SUMMARY Responsible for providing safe, clean, fun adventures that promote environmental stewardship, personal growth, and academic excellence for guests of Texas Elks Camp on Texoma by facilitating the JOLT, Retreats, Summer Camps and Veteran programs. Provide and nurture a learning center atmosphere, where ideas are exchanged. Student/teacher relationships are facilitated and respected.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise groups of up to 30 children in camp activities, and, when necessary, implementing positive behavioral management. Develop activities related to learning objectives of the camp. Teach and lead hands on science and adventure-based activities including outdoor skills, boating, swimming, challenge course, archery, and hiking. Serve as host to, providing hospitality services. Check-in with guests at meals and facilitate mealtime programs. Safely operate camps vehicles including golf carts, off-road service vehicles, and watercraft. Assist the camp maintenance staff with the upkeep of camp property and facilities. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Minimum two years college education or related work experience. Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Level 1 Challenge Course Practitioner, Food Handlers Permit, and Safe Camp Training, or willing to obtain.
