Job Description

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at the Grace Hopper Center-Technical
ESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to organize, develop, and coordinate classroom and clinical activities that enable students to pursue careers and further education in health and medical fields. Ability to use computer and basic software applications for student recordkeeping and general office use. Knowledge of community resources for healthcare. Excellent human relations, oral, and written communication skills. Teaches the Introduction to Health and Medical Sciences course to high school juniors and seniors. Coordinates lab and classroom activities as well as arranges for clinical, laboratory or internship experiences within the community as necessary. Performs as the instructor in organizing and supervising clinical, laboratory experiences. Responsible for organizing and maintaining the clinical lab and equipment, and student records per authorizing agencies.
EXPERIENCE
Experience teaching secondary students preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure. Must hold a current medical certification as a Registered Nurse. Must be eligible for NOVA dual-enrollment.
