2 Arlington, VA Job Details Part-time 10 hours ago Qualifications Teaching biology Parent-teacher conferences (communication methods) Full Job Description This is a 0.2 position Electricity Teacher for Evening Program (Tuesday/Thursday from 2:55-4:55 pm) at Arlington Community High School for SY27.

Qualifications:

Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in Biology. Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement appropriate instructional and/or learning strategies and activities, including determination of appropriate kind and level of materials, provide appropriate learning experiences, manage allotted learning time to maximize student achievement, and utilize a variety of instructional materials and available multi-media and computer technology to enhance learning. Willingness to collaborate with regular education teachers. Continually assess student achievement and maintain appropriate assessment and evaluation documentation for institutional and individual reporting purposes. Manage the behavior of learners in an instructional setting to ensure environment is conducive to the learning process, and assist and participate in management of student behavior in other parts of the school, center, school grounds, or work site. Participate in in-service and professional development activities and staff meetings, as required or assigned. Foster partnerships and ensure continuous communication with parents, both written and oral, to keep them informed of student(s) progress. Complete other duties as assigned

Salary:

Salary will be based on the

FY2026-27

salary schedule.
