Bayview Intergenerational Childcare Center (ICC) is a childcare center inside of Bayview Retirement Community. At Bayview ICC the children not only get the best care and nurturing from our amazing staff, but they get the chance to interact with the retirement community residents. The Early Education Teacher at Bayview's Intergenerational Childcare Center (ICC) plays a vital role in a truly unique, mission-driven program within our nonprofit continuing care retirement community. Working under the guidance of the Lead Teacher, this position partners closely with team members to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children—while also fostering meaningful connections with older adult residents. What makes Bayview ICC special is our intergenerational approach. Through shared activities like art, gardening, and storytelling, teachers help create one-of-a-kind learning experiences that support children's social development, empathy, and understanding of others. QUALIFICATIONS
1. Knowledge and Skill High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). An Associate of Arts Degree, a Child Development Associate Degree, equivalent options or willingness to work towards preferred. Demonstrated willingness to continue attending educational offerings. Meets or exceeds the minimum licensing requirements for certifications (i.e., CPR, HIV/AIDS, First Aid, Food Handlers Permit). Must be 18 years of age. Treats parent/child information in a confidential manner. Possesses good communication skills. Possesses good problem solving skills. Ability to be flexible and patient.
