Job Description:
City University of Seattle School of Education and Leadership is seeking a qualified Associate Faculty to teach a course on Educational Leadership.
Course Summary:
EEA 521 Educational Leadership (3 graduate credits) This course develops the candidate's capacity for leadership in an educational/school setting. The course is a survey of such topics as positive impact on student learning; moral, resilient, servant, shared, and/or transformational leadership; diversity in schools; and the role of schools in modern society. The candidate self-assesses relative to the certification standards, analyzes performance of a focus school, and recommends improvements. Part-time Teaching Faculty at City University of Seattle have three key responsibilities: Striving for excellence in teaching and learning. Fostering student development. Maintaining currency in their profession.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Master's degree in education or related fields. Minimum of three years of professional experience as a principal, program administrator, or superintendent. Demonstrated ability to provide a learning experience that links application with formal learning and adult learning theory. Ability to work in a team-oriented system and deal effectively with professional staff, faculty, and culturally diverse students. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard technical journals and documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, staff members, and Program Director. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Demonstrated expertise in a wide range of school law topics relevant to school, program, and district administration is desired. Experience using Brightspace Learning Management System (D2L) with templated course content is desired. Experience in higher education setting with a diverse, global audience is desired.

Salary Information:
Part-time Teaching Faculty salary is based on the number of course credits and the number of students in class.
