We are seeking certified teachers to fill full time Title I interventionist positions for the 26-27 school year. Teachers hired by Learning Exchange are placed in Milwaukee area non-public schools to work with small groups of students in Reading/ELA and Math interventions. We are specifically looking for high school math and K-8 licensed teachers.
Requirements:
Current and Valid State of Wisconsin Teacher License is required prior to an interview. Candidate must carry a regular education license for the grade levels they wish to teach OR a Math or Reading specific license for grades 6-12. (Please note: a State of Wisconsin Substitute Teaching license, Charter School License, Special Education/SLD license does not meet the qualifications to hold a school year teaching position with our organization.) Must be able to sit for long periods, walk and climb up to 2-4 flights of stairs (depending on the placement) several times per day. Must be able to utilize several forms of technology including but not limited to: laptop, smartboard, etc Must be comfortable using Google Suites and/or Microsoft Suites Must have current and valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work in Milwaukee (or surrounding areas) each day.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
Holding a math or reading teaching certification (316/1316, 17/5017, 2300, or 1400) OR Holding a K-9 or K-8 regular education license
Duties:
Small group intervention in reading and/or math, K5-8th, 9th-12th grade levels Lesson planning and delivery using a structured curriculum Scaffolding and differentiation based on student needs, data, and work. STAR testing Reporting daily attendance, progress monitoring using online tools, and other compliance documentation required In-person and written communications with stakeholders Data analysis and differentiation for students Participation in parent-teacher conferences Family Engagement event participation

Title I Interventionists are only there to TEACH - no bus duty, no recess duty, no lunch duty All teaching resources are provided for you including the intervention curriculum and supplies needed to ensure you are successful in your role Paid prep provided in your schedule Ongoing training and support provided by the Learning Exchange Instructional Leadership team. Full time interventionists get 2 paid sick days per school year. Full time interventionists get certain paid holidays and spring/winter breaks paid according to their normal work schedule. Health, dental, vision, STD, LTD, Life, AD&D insurance offered to full time interventionists 401K + company match offered to all staff Additional Tasks / Work Environment Must be able to sit for long periods, walk and climb up to 2- 4 flights of stairs several times per day. Must be able to escort students to and from group Must be able to utilize several forms of technology including but not limited to: laptop, smartboard, etc Must be comfortable with Google Suites and Microsoft Suites Must have current and valid driver's license and reliable transportation Light lifting or pushing of up to 50lbs Sitting for long periods of time may be needed Able to work in smaller spaces or spaces with noise or distractions Comfortable with temperature changes within building Qualified candidates will go through an interview process, which includes a background check.
