Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role where your expertise in sign language interpreting makes a meaningful difference in educational settings near Chebanse, IL. As a vital member of the school community, you'll support students, staff, and families by providing accurate and compassionate communication access.
Key Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English Experience as a sign language interpreter in educational or school-based environments preferred Understanding of the needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing students Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and related service providers Professional certification or license as required by state or district regulations
