Purpose of Position:
Serve as a member of the EHR team in a supporting role, assisting with the documentation process for physicians and clinical staff from initial training through continuous optomization. Support the EHR analyst team in EHR testing, data collection and reporting, ongoing training and support, change management, and day to day department fuctions as needed. Uphold the organization s vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.
Essential Functions:
Assist clinical staff in the use of the electronic health record and respond to questions and how to requests from clinical staff Log incidents and issues to communicate directly to the informatics team members Establish interpersonal relationships with medical personnel and promote an atmosphere that encourages enthusiasm and user participation with the applications Create a positive environment for reporting application and/or system deficiencies for system improvements and enhanced functionality Promote teamwork and participate as an active member of the team Adhere to established procedures and display professional demeanor to effectively interact with staff, providers and team members Competently utilize Cerner Millennium and its associated applications to support troubleshooting, reporting of issues for escalation, and overall system optimization Utilize electronic tools including Cerner, Microsoft programs, and other tools as needed for data collection and reporting Page Break Assist in monitoring and active follow-up of documentation and charting deficiencies to support Med Staff and HIM in the continuous accuracy and completion of the medical record Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge:

Required Skills and Abilities:

Supervisory Amount:
1 year administrative/computer experience in a healthcare setting and at least 6 months using an electronic health record 0 (years)

Working Conditions:
Work is conducted in a standard office environment but incumbent may often enter a typical clinical environment during the course of their work. This could expose the incumbent to latex, biohazard or other harmful substances Some travel may be required
