We are seeking an EHS II level professional to join our EHS team. Position Summary The Health, Safety & Env Specialist II provides expertise in the development, implementation and management of effective Safety, Health and Environment programs/systems. Routinely analyses hazardous situations and identifies alternative courses of action. Key Responsibilities; Works to develop, implement and maintain Health, Safety and Environmental programs/procedures. Performs audits and safety inspections of work environments, processes and operations in compliance with government regulations and industry standards. Ensures all applicable registrations, permits and licenses are in place and current; disposes of hazardous materials per regulations. Leads the safety committees, analyses hazardous situations and identifies alternative courses of action, while empowering members to achieve departmental safety goals and objectives Gathers data for the purpose of identifying, reducing, or eliminating sources of pollutants and/or hazards that affect the work environment and health of the employees. Requirements Bachelor's Degree or experience equivalent. Experience in manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures Ability to research and analyze data effectively Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports Good/Strong/Excellence verbal and written communication skills Presentation skills Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices, procedures and standards policy and procedure development techniques Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to federal and state tax codes Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications Intermediate level knowledge of PC software applications and strong understanding of PC operating systems Join us at Rockmart Fuel Containment in our mission to 'Protect Those Who Protect Us' by delivering reliable solutions that meet the toughest challenges!
