Job Description:
The EHS & Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing environmental health & safety programs, employee training initiatives, audits, and compliance documentation across warehouse operations. This individual will partner closely with Operations and Quality teams to ensure training programs are completed accurately, safety procedures are followed, and records remain audit-ready at all times. This position requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Environmental Health & Safety Support the implementation and maintenance of EHS programs and policies in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments Track corrective actions and ensure timely completion Facilitate safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and new hire safety onboarding Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning Maintain accurate records related to incidents, inspections, training, and compliance Monitor hazardous materials handling and environmental reporting requirements Coordinate emergency response drills and serve as a point of contact during emergency situations Partner with site leadership to reinforce continuous improvement and safety initiatives Training Coordination Develop and maintain training schedules across departments and shifts Coordinate onboarding logistics including PPE, badge access, training materials, and classroom setup Support training on SOPs, operational systems, safety procedures, and workplace policies Manage training records and ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready Monitor certification expirations and coordinate renewals for forklift/PIT, HazMat, and other required certifications Coordinate practical evaluations and equipment certifications to ensure compliance Maintain SOP version control and training acknowledgment records Reporting & Compliance Prepare training and EHS documentation for audits and inspections Generate reports related to training completion, certification status, and compliance metrics Track On-the-Job Training (OJT) documentation and competency validations Support operational planning through training and compliance reporting Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field preferred 2+ years of EHS and training coordination experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment Working knowledge of OSHA standards and EHS regulations Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Quality Management Systems (QMS), or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Certifications OSHA 30-Hour Certification First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
HAZWOPER
Certification CSP or ASP certifications are a plus Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods in a warehouse environment Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting up to 40 pounds Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures What We're Looking For We're looking for a proactive professional who is passionate about workplace safety, employee development, and operational compliance.
