The successful candidate will split their time between direct instruction of English Learners (.4 FTE) and leadership responsibilities for the districts ELE program (.6 FTE).ELE Teacher (.4 FTE) at Abington High SchoolProvide English language development instruction to identified students in accordance with MA DESE standards and WIDA guidelines.

Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and deliver instruction that supports content and language development.

Assess, monitor, and document student progress using approved assessment tools.

Develop and maintain Individualized Student Success Plans (ISSPs) for English Learners.

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and language acquisition goals.
K-12 ELE
Department Director (.6 FTE)Oversee district-wide ESL programming, ensuring compliance with all state and federal requirements.

Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of ESL curriculum, assessments, and instructional practices.

Coordinate ACCESS testing and other mandated assessments for English Learners.

Provide coaching, professional development, and support to ESL and general education staff.

Collaborate with school and district leadership to support equitable access to all programs for English Learners.

Prepare required state and federal reports related to English Learner education.
