Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on construction sites, including low voltage and high voltage wiring. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts. Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ammeters and ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues and ensure proper functioning. Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to maintain safety and compliance during all electrical work. Work collaboratively with construction teams, including frame carpentry and other trades, to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of electrical components. Conduct inspections of electrical installations for quality assurance and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspection reports for project documentation. Experience Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong understanding of commercial electrical systems. Construction site experience working on large-scale projects involving both high voltage and low voltage wiring. Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical troubleshooting. Familiarity with the use of hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools like drills and saws. Experience working with NEC standards and using testing equipment such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics for diagnostics. Ability to work safely in environments requiring knowledge of construction safety practices including frame carpentry coordination when necessary.
