Job Description

Engineer reliability that advances modern living Chemours' chemistry fuels clean energy, advanced electronics, AI, climate-friendly cooling, and resilient coatings. At our New Johnsonville, TN Titanium Technologies facility, we produce TiO2 pigment and slurry within operating units designated as highly hazardous processes. We're seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Asset Reliability Engineer to drive root-cause problem solving and long-horizon reliability strategies across one of three operating areas. Your impact Imagine turning chronic failures into robust performance. You'll blend hands-on troubleshooting with program design—delivering fast, data-backed fixes while building systems that prevent recurrence. Key outcomes Rapidly diagnose I&E issues; recommend and implement repairs, upgrades, and design improvements. Serve as a subject matter expert—author procedures and enable training to elevate craft and operator capability. Initiate and approve I&E-related MOC to advance safety, quality, environmental stewardship, and cost efficiency. Architect and deploy MI/QA, reliability, and PPM programs tailored to unit needs. Provide comprehensive I&E support up to 480
V:
Instruments (level, flow, pressure) and control valves—operation and reliability. Process/ambient analyzers—reliability support. Basic electric (120 VAC-480 V), including wiring, power panels, and heat trace. Motors, MCC/starters, and VFDs—up to 480 V. Burner system reliability. Support capital projects and MOC for I&E scope; act as area MOC approver for I&E. Contribute to PHA and shape capital project scopes. Lead RCFA teams, kaizen activities, and disciplined problem-solving forums. Develop and audit scopes of work, estimates, schedules, and specifications. Continuously refine PM plans and frequencies to optimize effectiveness. Assess vendor proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule fit. Collaborate with site reliability engineers/technicians to scale improvements. Support start-ups, tests, turnarounds, and other non-routine needs with occasional shift/weekend coverage. Qualifications BS in Electrical Engineering or closely related field. 3+ years of related industrial/manufacturing experience or Military Equivalent (co-op/intern included). Working knowledge in at least two: instruments (level/flow/pressure), analyzers, basic electric 120 VAC-480 V, wiring, power panels, heat trace, motors, starters, VFDs, control valves. High initiative, flexible and safety-focused; moves work forward with urgency. Strong analytical and data-driven troubleshooting. Comfort with multiple priorities, tight timelines, and emergent issues. Effective communicator—individually and in teams—across diverse audiences. Influences leaders, peers, and technicians; hands-on engagement with operators and craft. Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent tools. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Willing and able to wear PPE (steel toes, hard hat, eye protection, respirators, etc.). Preferred expertise Operations-side troubleshooting experience. RCFA methodology depth. PSM background. PFD analysis for Safety Interlock systems. LOPA exposure. NEC, ISA, and relevant industry standards. Codes and engineered best practices. PLC systems experience. Power systems analysis/applications. SIS knowledge and maintenance programs. SAP familiarity.
