Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kick-start your career in the electrical trade! This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in both industrial and commercial electrical environments, providing a solid foundation in electrical systems, safety protocols, and construction practices. Under the guidance of experienced electricians, you will develop essential skills in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and the use of various hand and power tools. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn, grow, and contribute to exciting construction projects while gaining valuable industry knowledge. Responsibilities Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites. Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit installation, and fixture mounting. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support project execution. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, adhering strictly to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Conduct basic testing using tools like ohmmeters to ensure proper electrical connections and system functionality. Support the setup of electrical infrastructure on industrial and commercial construction sites. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), especially when working with high voltage systems. Collaborate with team members on framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations when necessary. Qualifications Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus. Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety protocols. Strong interest in learning electrical systems, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation. Ability to work effectively in physically demanding environments; standing, lifting, and climbing as needed. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework related to electricity is advantageous.
