Job Title:
Electrical Assembler Job Description This role focuses on reading electrical schematics and wiring electrical cabinets for control panels in a clean, well-organized shop environment. You will start by supporting cabinet layouts and progressively move into more complex panel assembly tasks as you gain experience. Responsibilities Read and interpret electrical schematics to accurately assemble and wire control panels and electrical cabinets. Perform cabinet layouts on the designated cabinet line, ensuring components are placed and organized according to engineering specifications. Assemble and install panduit and other cable management systems to maintain neat and organized wiring within panels and cabinets. Wire electrical panels and cabinets using appropriate tools and techniques, following safety and quality standards. Use blueprints and mechanical drawings to guide assembly and ensure correct placement and connection of components. Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and compliance with schematics and documentation. Collaborate with team members and leads to resolve issues related to wiring, layout, or component fitment. Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to shop floor safety and security procedures. Work a regular 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday schedule, with the option to work additional overtime as needed. Essential Skills Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Hands-on experience with electrical panel and electrical cabinet assembly. Experience wiring control panels and electrical cabinets. Proficiency using blueprints and mechanical drawings for assembly work. Familiarity with panel board assembly and related mechanical assembly tasks.Tech I:
Completion of a technical program (such as Ranken or similar) with no field experience, OR 1-3 years of panel building experience without a degree.Tech II:
Technical degree with 3+ years of panel building experience, OR 5+ years of panel building experience without a degree. Attention to detail and ability to follow detailed layouts and instructions. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a shop environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience assembling and installing panduit and other cable management systems. Background working with electrical cabinets and electrical panels in a production or manufacturing setting. Comfort working with both electrical and mechanical components in panel boards. Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting wiring and layout issues. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team on the shop floor. Why Work Here? The standard schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with plenty of optional overtime available. The work involves hands-on electrical and mechanical assembly of panels and cabinets using schematics, blueprints, and standard shop tools within a professional, production-oriented environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olivette, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
