Full-time Overview:

Reporting to the Inventory and Supply Chain Controller, the Purchaser is responsible for supply purchasing duties, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and obtaining inventory at competitive cost. Close coordination on a daily basis with sales, operations and accounting is essential. This position will play a vital role in ensuring optimal inventory levels and costs.

Essential Functions:

Perform purchasing activities including material buying, supplier evaluation and selection, order quantities, and delivery requirements of electrical components. Obtain cost-effective quotes and buying. Constantly track inventory levels to properly manage procurement process. Set and maintain optimal reorder points and quantities. Reconcile and resolve any open purchase orders and invoice discrepancies with vendors or internal parties. Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies. Handle inventory quality issues from suppliers. Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain. 3 or more years of purchasing experience. Knowledge of electrical parts preferred. Knowledge of inventory control and manufacturing processes. Ability to troubleshoot and correct inventory discrepancies. Perform strategic buying to manage optimal inventory levels. 4 or more years of ERP experience preferred. Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, walking, and/or standing for long periods of time. Routine lifting up to 75 lbs. Frequent stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, reaching, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
