You'll collaborate closely with the Chief Estimator and Project Managers to ensure every estimate aligns with project scope, budget, and timeline. Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive electrical construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop accurate cost projections. Review project drawings and technical documents to identify scope of work, materials, labor needs, and potential risks. Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors through negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Assist in developing project budgets, schedules, and cost control strategies to ensure profitability. Support project management teams by providing detailed estimates that guide bidding decisions and project planning. Skills Strong electrical experience combined with solid construction estimating expertise. Proficiency of Software EBM and Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup. Experience in Public Works Projects a must. Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations for accurate system design and compliance. Excellent negotiation skills to secure optimal pricing and contractual terms. Deep understanding of construction processes, site management, and contract administration. Ability to perform detailed cost analysis, budgeting, and cost control throughout project lifecycle. Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams including project managers, contractors, and clients.
