Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer (2-5 Years Experience) - Manufacturing Spring Hill, KS Full-Time Overview We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our 24/7 float glass manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for an early‑career engineer who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting, and improving automated systems. You'll partner with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to support plant operations and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, PLC, and network issues on plant equipment Support installation and upgrade of industrial equipment (scope, design, procurement, and startup) Develop, modify, and maintain PLC and HMI programs Provide technical support for motors, drives, power distribution, and automation systems Train maintenance and operations teams to improve uptime and performance Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and reliability Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 2-5 years of industrial/manufacturing experience Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting Familiarity with HMIs, motors, drives, and electrical systems Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings Strong problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Skills Experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley systems , including: Studio 5000 (FactoryTalk Studio 5000) for ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and MicroLogix PLCs FactoryTalk View for HMI development PowerFlex VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) Experience with robotics or automated systems Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, etc.) AutoCAD and SolidWorks or similar design tools
