What You'll Do:

As an Electrical Engineer at Peter Basso Associates, you'll join project teams working with top architects, contractors, and facility owners across diverse markets - education, healthcare, research, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use. You'll apply creative solutions to complex challenges and contribute to projects from concept through construction.

What We Are Looking For:

We're seeking well-rounded professionals with the following abilities. Engineer and design electrical building systems specifically focused in one or all of these areas. Power Distribution Systems, including medium and low voltage distribution systems, standby power applications, load calculations, short circuit and coordination studies, arc flash hazard. Lighting Systems, including calculations, lighting controls, luminaire selections and architecturally integrated lighting systems. Auxiliary Systems, including fire alarm systems, voice/data structured cabling systems, access control, CCTV and other low voltage systems design.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an engineering-related curriculum from a US accredited college or university. Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical commercial building system design. Having passed the Fundamental of Engineering exam, PE preferred. Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. Thorough understanding of the coordination aspects of all design disciplines and impact on the project. Team-oriented problem-solving skills and decision-making ability. Detail oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible. Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
