• Full-time Irwin Transportation Products is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our growing transportation division in Blairsville, Pennsylvania.

This position will support the design, testing, commissioning, and continuous improvement of electrical control systems used in light rail transit and streetcar applications. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in industrial controls, transit systems, and customer-driven engineered solutions while working directly with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Position Details Full-Time Salaried Position Location:

Blairsville, PA Occasional Travel Required Training Available for the Right Candidate Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Design analog and digital control systems for light rail transit and streetcar signaling applications Develop PLC control designs and assist in control system implementation Review customer bid specifications alongside the sales team Support shop personnel in building and troubleshooting control panels and track switch circuits Develop and execute testing procedures for completed control systems Commission equipment and systems at customer sites Complete factory and field test reports Work directly with customers regarding product features, capabilities, and technical requirements Assist with digital transmission and reception designs for transportation products Coordinate with vendors regarding product specifications and technical requirements Provide leadership and technical guidance to small teams of engineers and shop personnel Attend customer meetings and industry trade shows as needed Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering 1-2 years of electrical engineering experience preferred Proficiency with AutoCAD Knowledge of ISO quality standards Preferred Skills Ability to interpret customer specifications and technical drawings Experience designing electrical circuits to customer requirements Knowledge of DC solenoid design Experience with transit or streetcar control circuits is a plus Why Join Us This position is a key role within our Transportation Group and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the continued growth and expansion of our rail and transit product offerings.
