$110,000 - $175,000 per year Job Details - Are you an experienced Electrical Estimator with a passion for the Construction industry? We are currently seeking a dedicated professional with a strong background in electrical estimating to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers an opportunity to work on exciting, high-profile projects. Our ideal candidate will bring a detailed understanding of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: 1. Preparing detailed electrical cost estimates for construction projects, evaluating labor, material, and time requirements. 2. Reviewing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services. 3. Conducting special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction. 4. Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. 5. Using software such as Destini Estimator, Microsoft Project, McCormick Estimating, and Accubid to prepare and maintain all estimates. 6. Participating in the project bidding process, including coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, preparing bid documents, and negotiating contracts. 7. Collaborating with project management and construction management teams to ensure project budgets are adhered to and financial goals are met.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry. 2. Proficiency in using estimating software such as Destini Estimator, McCormick Estimating, Accubid, and project management software like Microsoft Project. 3. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and systems. 4. Excellent skills in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial forecasting. 5. Proven experience in project management and construction management. 6. Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate contracts and bids. 7. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels of the organization.
