Job Description

GAC Chemical Corporation in Searsport, Maine is looking for an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our maintenance team. This role works within a chemical manufacturing environment and requires solid industrial electrical knowledge along with instrumentation and controls experience. If you are confident working independently on electrical systems and controls in an industrial plant environment, this is a great opportunity for you .
Key Responsibilities:
Installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, machinery, and equipment Working with industrial switchgear, transformers, and motor control centers (MCCs) Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Working with PLC controls and electro-mechanical systems Designing, specifying, and ordering materials for electrical support systems Making manual adjustments to steam boilers when required Following NEC standards and company safety procedures
Qualifications:
Two-year degree or certificate in Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation, OR a State Electrical License Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and controls Ability to read schematics and work with PLCs Maine High Pressure Boiler Operator License preferred, but not required High school diploma or GED required
Pay:
From $32.96 per hour
