Job Description

Job Title:
QA/QC Manager Job Description Join our team as a QA/QC Manager, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing electrical design reviews, constructability reviews, and coordination meetings. You will ensure quality and constructability in design elements such as drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams, sequences of operation, grounding plans, and protection schemes. Responsibilities Participate in electrical design reviews and coordination meetings. Review drawings, specifications, and diagrams for quality and clarity. Identify potential quality risks related to electrical redundancy, maintainability, access, and testing constraints. Support VDC/BIM coordination to ensure clash-free routing for bus ducts, conduit banks, cable trays, and equipment clearances. Manage and execute Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for all electrical work including MV switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and more. Perform routine and milestone field inspections to verify installation quality and adherence to approved documents. Verify the proper installation of conduit, tray, and raceway systems, as well as power and control cabling. Confirm materials and equipment are installed per manufacturer instructions and approved submittals. Essential Skills Expertise in mission-critical electrical systems and redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N, 2N+1). Strong understanding of installation quality's impact on uptime. Proficiency in Primavera P6 for scheduling. Comprehensive knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, ANSI, and manufacturer standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in data center construction and management. Strong background in quality assurance and forecasting. Familiarity with codes, standards, and owner requirements. Work Environment The role involves working in a dynamic construction environment, primarily focused on data centers. It requires interaction with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality installations and adherence to stringent standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.82/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
