The Electrician is responsible for overseeing electric power installations at various locations, ensuring compliance with electrical regulatory codes and safety protocols. The role identifies and communicates repair needs, provides equipment data to the Master Data Maintainer, and assists in repairs on electrical and pneumatic equipment. The role maintains electrical compliance, secures company-issued equipment, and commits to prompt response for repairs. The role works under supervision, handles routine electrical maintenance tasks, resolves maintenance problems, and has the authority to stop work in unsafe conditions, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Assists in managing electric power installations at various locations, ensuring seamless operation and compliance with all electrical regulatory codes, standards, and environmental health and safety (EHS) protocols.
- Identifies and communicates electrical repair needs to the planner/scheduler for work orders, demonstrating proactive maintenance.
- Provides electrical equipment data to the Master Data Maintainer (MDM), contributing to accurate recordkeeping.
- Assists in repairs on electrical and pneumatic equipment, showcasing technical proficiency and educates personnel on electrical measurement, safety, and their responsibilities related to electricity.
- Maintains electrical compliance in close coordination with the Foreman and EHS, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
- Secures and maintains all company-issued equipment, including computers, vehicles, and analysis or test equipment.
- Demonstrates a commitment to prompt response and issue resolution by willing to be available throughout the day for calls for repairs.
- Works under supervision to assist in routine electrical maintenance tasks, prioritizing projects, monitoring costs, implementing SOPs, and providing technical training to optimize results.
- Recognizes, analyzes, and resolves routine electrical maintenance problems, taking corrective action in emergency and non-emergency situations, contributing to operational efficiency and safety.
- Possesses the right and obligation to stop work in unsafe conditions, contributing to a safe and secure working environment for all personnel.
Education:
- High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
Experience:
- 0-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in areas such as Oilfield Automation, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation and Control Systems, Field Operations and Maintenance or a related field.
- Electrical Journeyman's license or ability to gain license.
